Relayer by A.Argentieri,D.Wood and J.Court...
Version 1.01b 26/04/93
Relayer is a shareware game which is based on the old
classic lightcycles. Actually to be fair it is based on
the amiga variant which was about some time ago called
A-tron. This was a truly hoopy game which I really
enjoyed when it was released.
So why rewrite then damn thing ???!!!**! you may ask.
I'll tell you why!!!!
Because I'm completly bored but mainly becuase I've
lost the damn thing, the original was around in 88-89
some time like that and it's 1993 now and erm
I've lost it...!!
Ok down to details.....
The game is played over 8 different and attractive(?)
arenas. Sounds good huh?
It can be played on your own against the computer or
if your popular you can play it against a friend.
If you can please play it two players because it is
much much more fun than on your own.
For a one player game press the joystick button in port 2.
For a two player game on the other hand press the joystick
button in port one.
To change the sound options on the menu press the
space bar.
Look what do i have to do? ..... you may ask.
Well my dear friend you have to dash around the level
avoiding or trapping your mate and collecting as many
of those little icons as you can.
So how do these icon things work then?...
Well somehow I knew you might ask that so just for you
i'll tell all. oooer..?
Each icon has a letter on it and is a certain colour.
If it is Pink or blue then it will affect player one or two.
If it is yellow then it will affect the other player.
The icons are as follows
They are:
S :- This speeds up a player for 10 seconds
R :- This reverses a players control for 10 seconds
B :- This puts a block in front of a player
H :- This hyperspaces a player to anywhere in a level
Thats about it really...... Not much more to it..
Happy relaying.... (corny phrase)
Many thanks to John Court and Darren Wood for their
excellent work on this game.
More thanks must go to Adam Priest
(who's version of lightcycles is also on this disk),
Alberto Argentieri and everybody else for helping
me keep the toke situation Copious!
(I think thats how you spell it!!?)
A word about adams game play it and turn all the options
on, trippy!
If you enjoy this product pass it on to your friends etc.
and also because this is a shareware program, if you do
like it and do play it please send £3 to the address
below and you will receive a copy of "maniac muncher"
our 1990 pac-man game. You will also recieve updates on
any new products we decide to release on shareware.
Please be honest and register your copy, there are a lot
of people out there writing good games and releasing
them on shareware (often these games are better than full
price stuff e.g. Transplant) so please keep us going...
If you have any comments and suggestions they can also be
sent to the address below. We'd like to hear from you!
